As simple as a leaf sheds from the Tree Or as hard to leave our eyes from a classical literature. Or As Cruel as a close friend who walks away from our life without giving a glance Or As Uncompassionate as an enemy who gives a fierce looks at us Or behave like a Stranger ; Another Year sheds as well !
As another year passes over, There are some glimpses of hope; But can’t neglect the shadows against our eyes. Yes, Last year’s Visuals are modern and complex; from the effects of Global Financial crisis to Terrorism gripped in my small land. Happenings around the globe are difficult to understand for the common man or else He needs an Interpreter. But they interpret the things in their own ways and put forth some solutions which look as if logical, A good Joke is ‘Solutions; not only make the situations worse but creates another new and complex situation’. It is clear for me when this year’s Nobel laureate for peace justifies war in his acceptance Speech!
There was nothing strikes me in deep, A word or an act or a Picture or a thought. But I’m doubted now whether my senses couldn’t touch any of these things. Anyway in the last year, I came to know about an African land called Swaziland; As reported in the 2009 CIA World Factbook, Swaziland has the highest HIV infection rate in the world (26% of all adults; more in other reports) and also the lowest life expectancy at 32 years, which is 6 years lower than the next lowest average of Angola. In such a miserable state of life, I wondered in my heart for some beautiful human beings like Dr. Maithri Goontheileke, Sr. Sister Maureen McCarthy, Mrs. Kathleen Hartmann and a hospital, Good shepherd in Siteki (A city in Swaziland) on their immeasurable compassion at them. As the year ends, I can say that our Earth is not so bad to live.
One of my friend wishes me in the morning… New is the year, new are the hopes and the aspirations, new is the resolution, new are the spirits and forever my warm wishes are for u. Have a promising and fulfilling New Year…Everything is new; Friend, But I’m not. But there was a struggle always for a fresh beginning in every year. I can share my secret with you. My Last year’s resolution was ‘to be humble’. In a paradox, I became less humble than any other years in my life. So this year, I decided not to take any resolutions! But if my mind changes in the coming days, I would like to be an Envoy of Peace in this year Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
May God Bless you throughout this year!
